#13568 - RE: PLM51 Manual |
No problem Andy. It is a pretty tall order I know!
Its a shame it fell out of favour as its pretty fast to program in. Being BASIC like helps too as I started off with a ZX Spectrum when I was at school. A piece of crap now I agree but I wore the damn thing out eventually... My only alternative might be to migrate to C. Would be a shame though as I've got quite a way with PLM. If I go the C route are there any good free compilers? I've looked at SDCC (Small Device [something] Compiler) but it frightened the life out of me and looked like it needed loads of customising to get it going... I'm not afraid of a bit of hard work but don't want to waste time going towards a dead end.. Specially as there are so many variants of 8051 now... would be nice to have as broard a range to be able to program as possible. Any comments would be greatfully recieved. Sorry I wrote and essay - I got carried away! regards B. |
