Hi Sally,
the meaning of ORG and CSEG,... was fully different. 1. CSEG, DSEG, BSEG,... select a memory segment 2. ORG select an address inside the current memory segment 3. CSEG at 100h was a combination of 1. & 2. 4. On starting assembling CSEG was always the default segment. So all following ORG statements related to the CSEG until a different segment was selected. 5. On the 8051 only CSEG can contain code and constants (DB, DW). All other segments can only contain data (DS, DBIT). Peter |
