We used to have one here at 8052.com, but the IRC server we used was unreliable. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't--so I abandoned it.

I'm now planning on installing an IRC server here at 8052.com exclusively for our use.

If anyone has any information on a good IRC server (for Linux) and a good Java-based chat client that I can integrate into the site, please let me know.
