I do realise that keil isn't running on linux (emulating it in linux is not an option [will spend more time trying to get it working than actual work on it]), I do have a windows based pc too, so I guess I'll have to choose which one suits me best, I've got something to start off and it's good, thanks for the examples tip I'll definitely take a look at it.
