#14 - Undefined Instruction |
Can anyone confirm what the standard 8051 does when it executes the undefined (0xA5) instruction?
My experiments have shown that it simply sets the carry bit and is a 1-byte instruction which executes in 1 instruction cycle. Others have emailed me suggesting that in reality it is a 3-byte "MOV bit1,bit2" instruction. Anyone know the truth? |
