I didnt buy LCD yet. Good for you.
Get a full datasheet for one you can use and buy that one. My favorite (before I switched to VFD) was Optrex. My experience (from long ago - this is not a lesson I learned yeaterday) is that when full data is not available it usually maens that the part is so 'variable' that specifying it would make 90% of the production not conform. Then you send out a 'short form datasheet' and unsuspecting sods buy the crap. I recall one incident where an 'excellent' purchasing agent bought a ton of parts and it was found that all were just a tad out of spec in one way or another. It turned out it was factory rejects rebranded with another name and sold as 'good'. Erik |
