if You need urgent change in system behavior (for example - on power-down signal) maybe You need "stop" even in middle of byte.... Hmm, skipping last ACK needs only few additional lines in code so its easy to be correct. In same time experiment is interesting. Test nextgen chip - 24C256 for example in same 2 tests. If i remember correct small memories and bigger memory chips are handled different way - maybe their behavior will be different in this situation. By the way - try one "dummy" condition - after 1st "stop" issue "start","stop" and then perform next reading. good luck |
