Hi,
I'm currently using Amtel AT89C5131. I'm having trouble with the USB connector. Whenever I plug in the USB cable the FLIP software will show "Cannot open port". Vendor ID=ffff and Product ID=ffff show on the Driver Wizard. USB name under "Unknown device". Please give some advice. Is there any problem with the hardware or others? Please check the chip number. Although the AT89C5131 can run at 5V some specimens do not provide a correct VREF when run at 5V. So I suggest powering your chip at 3.3V and see if it enumerates OK. I presume that the wiring to the USB connector is OK and pulls D- up to VREF. Having enumerated the chip, you will need to install the correct USB driver when you get the New Hardware message.
