#14249 - RE: What does RTL mean? |
Yes, when speaking about hardware description techniques or simulation, RTL indicates Register Transfer Level.
This refers to a model that describes the behaviour of a synchronous digital circuit (for example a processor) as a sequence of data transfers between registers. This model does not take into account electrical aspects such as gate delays. Microcontroller simulators usually operate at RT level. Regards. Alfredo del Rio. |
