I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of 8052.com over the last 10 years. It sure doesn't feel like 10 years, but that's what it's been. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess.

Who knows where we'll be in 10 years. Some will probably predict that the 8052 will be dead, or we might be arguing about PIC vs. 8052 vs. ARM market share. And there will be those that say that the 8-bit microcontroller is on its way out and 16 (or 32 or 64-bit) will own the market by this time next year.

Then again, we had much the same speculation 10 years ago and we're still here. Heck, perhaps in 10 years someone will have ported Linux to the latest 1GHz 8052 with 128MB of internal MOVX RAM and integrated SVGA bus driven by a half dozen SFRs and the daily questions in the forum will be regarding how to configure Internet access for the 8052-based network drivers. :)
