I somewhat understood your point.

Actually First I am calibrating all the sensors(white cal;ibration).

Presently I am using 3 while LED's for calibration.

After calibration I get the total time to measure maximum pulses
Here calibration time for each sensor is 8msec(which can be reduced by increasing illumination).
So in 8msec I get the maximum count for each sensor.
ie R=255,G=255,B=255 for white color.
Based on this time I get the RGB values for the objects.

I am bit confused about omitting the trigger.

How would my sensors now when the object is its exact focus

Slight variation in the focus will err RGB values.

Also one of my objects has similar RGB values to my conveyor.

I doubt the concept of polling will work in this case.
