#143627 - D52 is a command line program Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I downloaded and extracted the disassembler zip files for Windows from http://www.8052.com/users/disasm/, but the MS-DOS window barely opens before it exits. I cannot even see what error messages appear, if any. Any ideas?
Thanks! D52 is a command line program which expects parameters. You have to open a "DOS window", "command line prompt" or whatever Microsoft is calling it these days, and run it from there. If you just click on the program, D52 sees no parameters, outputs a help message, and then exits. There is an experimental GUI front end for D52 called Dis52, but it's not up-to-date, and if I ever get around to finishing it, it will run on Linux, OSX, and other Unix-like systems, but I really, really *don't* give a rat's behind about Windoze. Why use a broken virus-magnet when good, stable operating systems are available? |
