#144343 - FORUM RULES REMINDER |
It seems that lately I've been having to clean up some threads that contained posts violating the rules. Specifically, I'd remind everyone of the following parts of the forum rules:
1. BE POLITE. Everyone is expected to be polite and non-offensive. Snide comments are not necessary nor are they appropriate. If you'd like to answer a question by all means please do so--but do it without being offensive or impolite.
8. NON-OFFENSIVE. Posts should not be offensive or ridicule others. This is a technical forum where there is no need or justification for such comments. If you wish to participate in a positive manner we encourage your participation. If you find yourself only able to participate in a negative manner then please refrain from participating. 12. MODERATION BY MODERATORS ONLY. Do not post messages that assail others for violating forum rules or norms. Either ignore the violation or report it to the moderator or webmaster for appropriate action. Discussions in a technical thread about how to treat a newbie are not appropriate, even if you feel the newbie has been mistreated. If you have an issue with how a newbie has been treated, take it up privately with the member in question or bring it to my attention. Do not take a thread off-topic with this issue. I'd also like to remind everyone that rule #1 is the most important rule, and it takes precedence over all others. Period. Thank you, Craig Steiner 8052.com Webmaster |
