#144581 - IT finally worked !!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hello,
When i connected the cable which had all the wires in the DB9 connector It worked but had a problem.

Whenever i connected the cable to the COM port the program would jump to the CPU_IN routine even without opening the hyperterminal.
Problem was that the COM port of the PC was asserting /RTS continously!!
In some OS the COMp port asserts RTS by default. We can check the status of com port by DOS command " mode com1". The RTS option should read RTS CCT: HANDSHAKE.

When i connected the uC to other PC (Win XP)it worked. Earlier PC had win98.

The code is working fine.
At reset it displays GPS data continously.
As soon as we connect the hyperterminal LCD clears and displays whatever we type.

Thanks all.
