I think IEEE 695 is more powerful since it can suppoprt the memory addressing more than 64k (actually it supports in mega bytes) while OMF format (which is designed for 8051 family) can support only upto 64k.
But now more and more microcontrollers are in market which supports code/data memory in MBs. Also most of the emulators supports IEEE 695 format. But OMF format is simpler to implement :) I want to create IEEE-695 format file! Vineet |
