If you add some diodes to the keypad, you can then share the lcd data with the keypad, thus saving port pins. My immediate reaction when I saw the schematic was the same as Jans - if you have the '2051 scanning the keypad, have it do the lcd also. Can you explain how adding diodes help the same. |
