#147219 - Problems writing EEPROM on AT89S8253 device Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Robert, that document explains exactly what i think the issue is. My code assumes the busy/read signal is in the busy state after the write has started. According to the document you need to wait for it to go busy first and then hang around for the write to complete.
Kai, i have not heard of any issues. Any major ones i should be aware of? I am only using this as it is almost (apart from the EEPROM writes) a direct replacement for the 89s8252 device i was using and i had a number of systems using this older device. Many thanks. |
