... they can be controlled entirely with PI controllers. (In fact, they don't even need digital controllers. During an internship at one a couple of years ago, one of the engineers commented that the only department there that had Y2K issues was HR. Analog electronics don't care about Y2K bugs.).
Heating/cooling usually happens slowly enough that differentiators are not very useful at best, and destabilize the system at worst. |
