This link points to a zip file where I collected some of the LCD stuff I have made. This is NOT '51 code but it should serve as a sample as how one could do this. Hopefully those can be of some help to You. What comes to timing the LCD can be polled whether it is ready for next command or not. Using fixed delays can be used but I would not recommend their used with the LCD interface as their timing depends on so many things like manufacturer, what is the command that it is executing etc. |
