Thanks for all the suggestions, it is a few years since I coded 8051 last and I missed out on interrupts :-(
Incidentally the timing is not critical as I need to run the motor just for 30 minutes in the morning so I use an LDR. Everything is ok and working well. Thanks again to all. Archer |
