If you are using this programmer:
http://www.kmitl.ac.th/~kswichit...gm3v0.html you have to keep the cable to the printer port very short to minimize errors. Also I never got it to work in windows XP, I had to use windows 98. I had a great deal of trouble with this one so I did my own here: http://www.8052.com/codelib/8...rammer.zip Does not need a PC to program, only to load the hex file. It is much easier just to buy a programmer cable from atmel, (saves a lot of hair pulling) If you don't have the money you can try to build your own but be prepared to do lots of debugging.
