#150272 - Use another cable pair - for bus busy Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you are using CAT5 or equivalent, you may have a spare pair, or even a spare core, that you could use for "Bus Busy" then, if you are transmitting you check the Bus Busy, if it is idle, then set it, and begin transmission, when you have completed the transmission, clear it. in this way you are implementing your own collision avoidance scheme.
Another option is to use CAN, this has non destructive, collision detection, it is a bit of a learning curve but could be worth the effort. Regards Marshalll |
