The 805x is a single-chip microcomputer, while the Z80 is a microprocessor. The Z80 has no on-board memory, either ROM or RAM, nor has it any on-chip I/O. The Z80 has a von Neumann architecture while the 805x has a Harvard architecture.
Naturally, the instruction sets are quite different. The Z180 series is VERY different from the Z80 as well. You need to spend some time reading the various datasheets. RE |
