Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there are IR modems that can be used with a 8051. I have a setup with a 8051 and serial ports. I wanted to hook an IR modem to one of my serial ports to transmit position data to my PC. I wanted to avoid a physical wire connection with my PC since my board is sitting on a frictionless air bearing.

Any suggestions?
