Most of them do have HIGH and LOW directives, so what I have written above is correct. Below, please find .lst of my example assembled by the free Metalink assembler (I used your variables definitions, but had to edit slightly: note that most assmeblers require the colon to follow immediately the label, without any whitespace - and it's a bad habit to use tabulators, too).

In some others, you need to perform an arithmetic operation, such as
   add   a,#PositionN & 0xFF
...
   addc  a,#PositionN >> 8
or the like. Read your assembler's manual for further details.
