As far as patient safety i have each electrode connected to 220 ohm resistors.
Of course it is essential not to electrocute the patient (not that I think 220 ohms is going to prevent a heart attack if there is enough voltage behind it) but in the respect of safety and medical equipment one factor is way too often missed. If the patient survives the test because of electrical safety, then what if the reading is erroneous leading to a misdiagnosis? As an example, just visulaize what would happen if you gave nitro to a patient where the actual problem was LOW blood pressure. Erik |
