Not saying it's the case in this instance, but you don't always get what you pay for, especially where "brands" are concerned. Badges command a premium.

In an ideal world I agree. If the question is "Why don't I use Keil", then the answer is "I can't afford to buy it". Simple as that. If it was the greatest thing on earth, made my breakfast, drove my kids to school, walked my dog and grew new hair on my head I still couldn't afford it :). Fortunately I do have Keil LPCStudio to play with, and can live within the limitations (4K).
