So it appears to me as though the WDT is being disabled right away.
it is NOT
you need the disable at the very beginning of startup.a51 (or the equivalent if you are not using Keil)
[edit] I see you state SDCC and I have no idea what "the equivalent" file is called,but do recall it exist. If you look around in the files the insertion point will be at the very beginning of the file where a ljmp att address 0 jumps to. The debugger in the IDE will show that very file after a download of an object file.[end edit]
