#154093 - SiLabs to Keil

And while on this...

Actually, it's a new question; so you may well be better off starting a new thread - people with no interest or experience in LCD Busy Bits might well have some input on IDE porting...

I just wanted to know if there is any way of porting the uVision-3 editor onto the Silabs IDE.

Not as such: the editor is an integral part of uVision - not a separate component. It isn't even a particularly great editor - so, if I were to spend time integrating anything, I wouldn't spend it on the uVision editor!

However, there's nothing to stop you from using uVision just as an editor, and switching to the SiLabs IDE when you want to build and/or debug.

Of course, the SiLabs IDE is just using the Keil tools underneath - so it might be easier to switch the whole thing to uVision?

And I don't suppose I can make the Keil uV-3 to directly connect to the Silabs DK via the USB -JTAG adaptor ?

I'm sure it is possible - you'd just need the correct driver for uVision...
