Even I have faced this problem some time back. Hope you have mounted the controller on a socket. Please remove the IC from the socket and measure t he voltage between pin 20 and 40. It should be 5V. If it is 5V then put the IC back into socket( of course by powering off) then give the power and measure the voltage across the same pins. See it u get 5V. In the absence of controller if u get 1V at pin 40 then please check the power supply circuit. If the controller is burnt then it gets heated up. and the current drawn by it will be more. |
