#154474 - The issue with migration..from ASM to C Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Michael,
Nice to hear from you. Your post made interesting reading as you addressed some very practical issues. The code that I am now developing is a replica of a ASM code that I developed some 5 years back and there are still three units running with that code till date. And this is part of an upgrade that I am supposed to deliver with code written in C. Surprise is, my own ASM code ( even though commented reasonably well )looks Greek after 5 years! It had all the functionality of any standard key input like a two level fast scroll alogorithm that kicks in if the user holds the button for longer than 5 sec and doubles the digit scroll rate. But I still don't have the comfort level that I had with ASM and its a learning process with C. I love to try but time is at a premium and the Keil manual is my pastime right now.. Raghu |
