#155060 - the curse of the PC programmers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't recall ever actually needing or using these on a '51, but I suppose it might make sense under certain unusual circumstances.
the curse of the PC programmers that believe that programming a '51 is "just writing some C code" has forced the compiler makers to, for competitive reaons, include stuff, the implementation of which on a '51, is totally 'destructive' such as malloc() Erik I recall a case of PC programmers that believe that programming a '51 is "just writing some C code" where I was asked to help with code banking because the program did not fit in 64k, I kicked the idiots out and ended with < 8k of code and a functioning design |
