#155651 - blunt is fine.....and I'll say it again. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Now it's my turn to be blunt:
I wasn't hired for this, I was hired to design and build circuits boards from the ground up. I was specifically told that a software engineer would be in place and that this wouldn't not fall on my shoulders......it has, nothing I can do about it. We are actively looking for a software engineer to do this properly. My boss is FULLY aware of the dilema that I'm in and is giving me a LOT of latitude to get this done. I'm not trying to bluff anything, so don't EVER bring it up again. I've read all kinds of material to get the fundamentals down. I've read every function in these files and trying to put it together. I'm sorry I'm not a code god as you folks are. I was rooked into this chip which I absolutely hate, but I have no choice but to make it work. And if that annoys anyone....to bad. If you don't want to help, then don't, but stop trying to derail me. I'm asking for help, either point me in the right direction or I'll wait for someone who can.....if at all and if I never get an answer so be it, at some point, I WILL figure it out. Try stepping back yourself and take a hard look at when you were starting out.....I'm sure you got the same reactions from your peers when you were green, unless of course you wrote the language......which I may be possible, but I doubt. I've spent 40+ hours watching video tutorials, every day my nose is in the "C and the 8051"......its not like I'm asking ANYONE for gimmie code. If I could recycle my original software I2C, this post wouldn't even be here. And so what if I used code architect.....that is what it was designed for......so that is not even a valid arguement. Sorry to ruffle feathers, but I'm sick of this crap of people telling me I don't know the fundamentals......coding is not my forte....never has been.....I know enough to be dangerous......and since my first project is now in production......I think I've proven that I can do the job. Anyone who says that they never need help....well.... So please either guide me, or just don't post....its counterproductive. I fully expect this to be the last post.....but I held my tongue since I'm on the outside in. Regards, Chris |
