#156345 - nope it is NOT corect Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Alternating rows as opposed to illuminating all rows simultaneously reduces the total power consumption (as averaged over time).
nope it is NOT corect, reducing the power consumption has NOTHING to do with "Alternating rows", but is a result of reduced brightness which you can achieve whether you alternate rows or not. If you reduce "total power consumption (as averaged over time)" you get less brightness. The FIRST design criteria for any display is required brightness. If the goal was to reduce power consumption (screw the brightness) multiplexing or not would make no difference whatsoever, the power consumption and brightness could be reduced whatever the design. THUS "Alternating rows" has nothing to do with "reduces the total power consumption (as averaged over time)" Erik |
