Have a look at
http://web.mit.edu/6.115/www/datasheets/6264.pdf to see which lines need to be high and which need to be low for this device to function properly. As far as the nomenclature ... the select (CS) lines are concerned, those are normally less time-critical, though you must remain within the timing specifications, and the enable signals, nWE, nOE, are more time-critical, in that they are 6he ones that really cause things to happen most quickly. Consult the specifications if that's not apparent to you. The 6364 has a low-going chip-enable on pin 20, and a high-going one on pin 26. If you don't hook those lines up correctly, it won't work. The high-going signal can be tied to Vcc, preferably through a moderate resistor. RE |
