#15728 - RE: 89C51 and half + 1 |
Hi Andy,
yes, theoretical the Triscend E5 has the potential to be a good chip. But unfortunately it was available only as LQFP-128 up to BGA-204, which definitely exclude any attempt to use it for beginners :-( Only the good old DIP case was prefered by hobby users. Its enough work to do the first steps on developing software. So any additional trouble to fight special soldering battles should be avoided. Also its unsatisfactory to stick on special development boards and be unable to run the project stand alone if it was finished. "Triscend's FastChip development software also comes with a free 7-Seg LED driver" How many digits, multiplexing, including driver stages ? Peter |
