#157293 - Thanks for your appreciation!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The reason I created it was two reasons:

Clearly all the compilers and 8051 related tools available supports window only, so what is the need of this s/w.

1. Umm...not entirely true. There are definitely good tools in Linux for 8052, for example SDCC, ASEM51 to name a few. These very good quality software and are ideal for hobbyists(like me). But without a software to program hex files, all of the above are useless.

2. I am personally a Linux fan. So I used this opportunity to learn many new things as I created this tool. Also, I was disappointed by Sunrom when they refused to share the source code for their windows version and I was motivated even more to create the Linux version.

So for my hobby projects now, I use:

1. ASEM51 - for assembling code (Not yet tried SDCC, but I heard it is good, although not as advanced as Keil. But sufficient for hobbyists.)
2. svn - for source control.
3. gnuProload - for burning hex files into the micro.

regards,
Seemanta
