If you operate any device outside of its specified parameters, you do so entirely at your own risk. You might be lucky (apparently you are) and find that some - or even most - devices do just happen to "work" to some degree under some - or even most - conditions. But, if this is a commercial product, you have absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that they will continue to operated in all your products under all user conditions. The cost in customer returns and loss of reputation could well far exceed the "cost" of using properly-specified parts in the first place... |
