#157598 - Why I use the EA pin Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I'm cheap! When we moved to a new building, people were throwing out everything, which included several hundred programmed 8051s, and several hundred EPROMs, EEPROMs, and RAMs. I picked them up knowing that those 8051s have the EA pin, which will allow me to play with all those lovely chips.
I let the 6805, COP-8, and other OTP chips go, because they were only OTP. I also worked on a vending machine that used an 8032, and had multiple 74LS373s and 74LS244s for output and input ports. --Rich |
