Do you have series resistors in the segments for your LED displays? For some reason you call it a LCD but looking at your circuit, it looks like leds to me.
Try something like 33ohms (at a guess) Also, note the '595 is not particularly good at sourcing current, you might wish to add pnp transistors or a sourcing driver like a udn2981a. |
