1. Calculations are easy on float OK 2. Size is compiler dependent. Why is that relevant. Most compiler is the same format for single precision. But the same compiler is reading and writing so it will always be happy. You can convert it to a string to transmit. 3. Because of 3 read/ write from EEPROM is difficult(as no of characters depends on compiler, ofcourse sizeof()is possible) First are you looking for a specific solution, or a general one? sizeof() is the correct way for a general solution, unless the same compiler will not be reading it back. |
