You will obviously have to check the Manual for your Sony Ericsson T230 to confirm[1], but it's probably just a standard, asynchronous serial interface - so this is just a standard case of sending & receiving characters via the UART. Note that a phone may well not use RS232 levels, and might not even use "normal" 3V or 5V logic levels - again, you need to confirm this in the Manual...
