A lookup table returns one "entry" from the table; in the case of a 7-segment display, it would make sense to have that "entry" give the required combination of segments to illuminate, wouldn't it? Of course, if you want the table "entries" to represent something else more convenient to your particular application, there's nothing to stop you doing that...! |
