Since you are trying to use the DS12887, maybe you can have a look at my fully tested ( and also commented ) code here : http://www.8052.com/codelib/F...S12887.zip
Once you download and open the DS_12887.c file, most things must be clear ( you can open it in Notepad). I know my code is in "C" but the routines used for the RTC interface are almost like assembly listing only. Give it a try.. Raghu |
