Sounds like if this is urgent that your course of action should be to get on with conceptual design, flow charting, and coding. I will presume that you are familiar with the 8051 instruction set and hardware platform that you intend to work with. If not then add a front end task to become learned about your 8051 environment and add on an back end task for a healthy amount of debug time.
