#158647 - When to ARM ? |
I have been reading about the ARM processors on the net and I am generally aware of thier prowess.
But just to get a fast grasp on the topic, I would like to frame my doubt as this : Given an application requirement, at which point do you decide that the simple 8-bitter is no good and start looking for an ARM processor ? Given thier low power needs, are ARM s only preferred on mobile apps ? What about development tools like compilers etc ? Are there any free C-Compilers for ARM processors ? Thanks Raghu |
