#158836 - You must know what you need?!

please think yourself and suggest me the best advise.

As I said before, if I don't know what you are trying to achieve, there is obviously no way I - or anyone else - can advise you on how to achieve it! Is there?!

You must, surely, know what your basic requirements are here:

  • How much data do you need to send?

  • How quickly do you need to send it?

  • How far do you need to send it?

  • Do you need to send in both directions, or only one?

  • Is it important for you to interwork with other systems, or can this be a "proprietary" scheme?

This has nothing to do with your experience (or otherwise) with IR - you need to know these things before you can even start thinking of how to implement your link!
In fact, it is impossible to say whether any IR scheme will be usable at all without at least "ballpark" figures for these requirements!

On what basis did you decide to use IR?
