#159373 - The purpose of a Final Year Project Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The purpose of a Final Year Project is to demonstrate what you can do; in other words, what you have learned from the course.
So, there are 2 key elements: 1. It needs to be your own work; 2. You need to choose something that you can do! Of course, people can help if you have specific questions or problems - but you need to do the bulk of the work yourself. The first step is to do your research or literature survey: using your school library and the internet to determine the current state of the art. This should show you what are the "standard" approaches to such a problem. You can then consider their merits, and choose one of the "standard" approaches - or you might spot an innovative approach... |
