This is a part that plugs into a gaming products (poker, slot machine) mother board. They (24C04) are starting their failure cycle from years of read writes. Having ran out of the original stock of chips my friend used for years he was looking for a substitute
... a) is "truly generic" and b) has a MUCH higher endurance (FRAM, not flash) I have never had problems with Ramtron chips as 'drop ins' Erik |
