With a 12MHZ crystal and standard 12 clockers, it is not possible to generate 9600 baud with Timer 1. Either use Timer 2 as the baudrate generator (if your particular controller has it) or configure it for a different baudrate which should be possible with a 12MHz crystal.
The Keil Baudrate generator at http://www.keil.com/c51/baudrate.asp may help you to calculate valid settings for T1. |
